Did a quick "tailgate" review of my Speed Six. Let me know what you think and what I missed. I ALWAYS welcome constructive criticism, it only makes me better. Thanks.
I have a chance to get a Ruger Speed Six at my local gun dealers. One walked in the door the other day. Blued finish,2 3/4" bbl., either Pachmeyer or Hougue rubber grips. Still locks up tight, has some holster wear ( I`m assuming) at some places on the finish and I`m guessing a trigger job at one time as the trigger pull in DA is pretty light. I`d say overall condition would be good because of the wear and condition of the finish. I have wanted one of these for a while now. Dealer wants 320 bucks to me and will probaly go to 300 if I squeeze enough. Is it worth it guys and gals? Any thoughts or opinions will be appreciated. I think 1988 was the last year for these to be manufactured and it should increase in value.
I recently obtained a Ruger Speed Six .357. I haven't seen a Ruger Speed/Security Six in years. I have owned a few SP101's and other revolvers as well. My Speed Six has the 2.75" barrel. It is a little larger than the SP and smaller than the GP. I find it to be the perfect carry revolver. Anyone else carry a Speed Six?
