About Ruger New Blackhawk - 7.5''

The Ruger New Blackhawk is a single-action revolver from the production of Sturm, Ruger & Co. (simply known as Ruger), a popular American firearms manufacturer. Despite the fact that the New Blackhawk was introduced quite a long time ago, in 1973, it still ranks among the most popular modern single action revolvers.

Probably the most popular version of the Ruger New Blackhawk is the one with a 7.5 inch long barrel, chambered for the powerful .45 Colt cartridge. However, this revolver is also available in the following barrel lengths - 3.75’’, 4.62’’, 5.5’’, and 6.5’’ - each of which relies on the use of different revolver calibers.

The Ruger New Blackhawk - 7.5’’ comes with the said barrel length of 7.5 inches and the pistol’s overall length is 13.5 inches. In combination with the strong .45 Colt cartridge, this SAO revolver is one of the most powerful hunting handguns currently available in the market. Although this six shooter is a relatively modern handgun, its design resembles the six shooters of the Old West.

This western revolver comes with a 6 shot cylinder. Construction-wise, its frame is made of stainless steel and the pistol features rosewood grips. The New Blackhawk is also an extremely accurate handgun, mainly thanks to the ramp front and adjustable rear sights. All of the versions of the New Model Blackhawk single-action revolver feature Ruger's patented transfer bar ignition system with loading gate interlock and reverse indexing pawl, together with an all-coil spring mechanism, adjustable sights, and frame-mounted firing grip.
